RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 933035

People

(Reporter: casper.vandonderen, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/32.0.1700.107 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

- Enable screen lock
- Set display timeout to 'never'
- Lock phone
- Press power button to unlock
- Do not use the unlock gesture

Actual results:

The screen goes back to sleep from the lock.

Expected results:

I was expecting the screen to turn on and stay on.
It might be that this is expected behavior, but I'm trying to understand how the lock screen works and my screen keeps turning of.
Tested using a Geeksphone Keon with a build from today.
It's normal behavior on for example Android. Imagine that you accidently press power button in your pocket. Display would quickly drain battery.
I remembered I discussed and confirmed the correct behavior is: the display menu's timeout is irrelevant with LockScreen's timeout. The later is always 10 secs, and will only be postponed when user's finger touched on the screen (unlocking).

I would search my RESOLVED FIXED bug and post it here.
Since it's duplicated as I said, I mark it to close this old bug.
