From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.3) Gecko/20010808 BuildID: 2001080814 Loading or viewing www.arkpc.com will crash mozilla and usually, my entire system. Sometimes it will crash before finishing loading. Otherwise, it will crash after I move the mouse and mousewheel around the page. This will crash with or without java plugin enabled or even with plugin uninstalled. On my laptop (PII-300, NEC Versa SX), viewing page will only crash mozilla. On my desktop (BP6, dual celeron, not overclocked, dsl, nvidia tnt2 with nvidia drivers), it will usually freeze my whole system. I am running RedHat 7.1 with latest everything, XFree 4.1.0, kernel 2.4.9smp. It will crash when using XFree nvidia drivers, with AGP disabled, and with all acceleration turned off. Netscape 4.78 does not crash when viewing this page. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go to www.arkpc.com 2.move mouse over web page, scroll up and down 3.crash! Actual Results: desktop froze. needs to reboot with Reset button
wfm win98 build:2001082508 Linux only?
This page has 15 Java applets on it. Visiting it caused Win98 to hang using 2001082508 with JRE 1.3.1, but I have this already filed as bug 95661 I'm surprised it caused a crash even if you're not using the Java Plugin....

konqueror also crashes and freezes my smp system on this page, even with java off. I thought this might be a problem with kde so I tested mozilla under gnome. Still crashes.
WFM linux 20010827 cvs build. I don't have the java installed.
Sounds java-related. Over to OJI for expert opinion - worksforme on linux with no java.

Just to confirm that this is likely to be java-related: No crash or freeze with 2001-09-11-21 on Linux.
