970759 - [Tarako] SMS does not response after attaching a picture with size larger than 300K

Description

STR:
1. Launch SMS
2. Create a new message
3. Tap on add attachment -> Gallery
4. pick up a picture which is larger than 300K
5. Tap on Done
   --> It took more than 10s to resizing the image. And no preview of pic shows within 30s. The page does not response at all.
6. Try to tap on the screen
   --> SMS crashed.

Hi, may I know the actual size of the testing image? Is this issue always reproducible for every images over 300k size?

Here is the info for test image A:
size: 410K, jpeg, 1536*2048

I also tested use another image B but cannot reproduce this. 
size: 641K, jpeg, 1600*1200


The difference between these two images is:
A is taken using Buri. And it is in Portrait mode when selecting from SMS.
B is take using Tarako. It was shown in Landscape mode when selecting from SMS.

Image 1 has a lot more pixels, so probably takes a lot more memory.

Will be difficult to work around without platform support, see for example Bug 949779.

Another thing we can try: we can also resume work on bug 889902.

Steve said he'll work on Bug 949779, which "should" make things better here.

Since bug 949779 landed and image loading did improve with no oom crash after applying patch in bug 949779, I close it as dup first. Please reopen it if this issue still exist after patch applied.
