Build: 08/27 OS: Mac OS X On File | Save as dialog window, entered Japanese filename is displayed as latin- string
Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to any website. 2. Select File | Save as... 3. Switch to Japanese keyboard, enter Japanese characters in Save as: text field. ?The Ja chars are displayed as Latin-1 characters in the filename text field.
Keywords: intl
Same problem on the other component windows, like HTML composer and AIM. On HTML Compser, if the title of the page is in Japanese, the filename, which is same as title by default when File | Save as menu is selected, appears as a latin-1 string on the dialog. It looks like mozilla is using western fonts for that particular window.
