Description: Sending a text message with a subject to a device that does not support subjects causes the receiving device to see the text in a different way through the notification and the thread views. Repro Steps: 1) Update Buri to Build ID: 20140214004001 2) Launch the Messages app. 3) Tap the New Message icon. 4) Tap the options button (...) then Add Subject. 5) Add text to the subject and the message lines. 6) Tap the To field and fill in the number for a device that does not support text message subjects (eg a 1.2 or earlier device). 7) Tap the Send button then watch the other device for the message to arrive. 8) Observe the notification that appears when the message arrives. 9) Launch the Messages app (or equivalent app if not on a FFOS device) and observe the appearance for the message that just arrived. 10) Tap the entry for the message and observe the text that is shown in the thread. Actual: The notification shows the subject line, the threads view shows the message as an MMS message, and the thread itself shows the message as the text. Expected: The appearance of the message in the notification, thread view and thread page is the same. Yes, unfortunately, that's only applicable to 1.2, and therefore it's too late to fix this. bug 948958 is related too :(
