(Reporter: david.balazic, Unassigned)
Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:27.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140212131424
Steps to reproduce:
ctrl-t to open a new tab
Actual results:
A new tab appeared with thumbnails of some sites I visited in the past.
If one of those pages is such a HTTPS page that requires a client certificate, then the client certificate choice dialog appears asking to select a certificate for that site.
Expected results:
No certificate dialog should appear.
I opened the new tab just to visit some HTTP site. FF should not have bothered me with a certificate choice dialog.

Only to such that support certificates issued by Slovenian CAs.
I'll google for some global site that supports client certificates.

You can try https://edavki.durs.si
I also found http://www.geoffk.org/client-ca/ but it does not seem to work...

Try this one: http://tls.secg.org/?action=preconnect
(select the "secp256r1 with ClientAuth" option)
They don't seem to accept any of my certificates, so I can not reproduce the problem with it.
PS: So... you are the developers of the most used web browser in the world, but you have no test servers? :-O

Same problem here (Firefox 31.0b6 on Ubuntu 14.10). More specifically, I see the User Identification Request popup as soon as I mouse over the thumbnail in question.
Seem.
