I have a high number of tabs, much like many people I know, especially with the use of Panorama and tree-style tabs (the plugin). Since I often switch from project to project, I end up loading a high number of tabs, which takes up a lot of memory which I cannot reclaim. However, I know I'll need to go back to this set of tabs in the future, so I cannot just close them.

I wish to have the ability to unload a tab (make it blank, to reclaim memory) without closing the tab or losing the URL.

It is a different request from 675539, since that other bug is about automatic memory reclaiming, instead of manual reclaiming.
