Logging out from about:accounts does not do the same thing as 'Disconnect' button from browser chrome.

Yeah, 968353 is the same thing. Thanks! The root problem is that about:accounts, when signing into a pre-verified account, displays a "Manage account" page (with a Sign out) link that it shouldn't be displaying.
