I installed my demo pocket panel on my regular Nightly build, but I never saw the data update on its own. We should make sure this periodic data sync actually works.
For now, or as a followup: We can make sure multiple syncs occur in testHomeProvider (currently [1]). :P [1]: https://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/source/mobile/android/base/tests/testHomeProvider.js?rev=a2abf1c2b38f#32

I've seen this working in the wild, so I'm re-purposing this bug to be about adding a testcase to testHomeProvider.
