+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #965945 +++

On nexus-5, when application crash very often during scrolling. It is caused by Bug 965945 fix.
I am wondering whether the crash could happen any large display device.

Yes, but even if it didn't crash it would just show black content areas. I have a patch on bug 975033 that should help here.
