The bancochile.cl website does not detect Firefox OS devices correctly as smartphones. The first page loading from a site contains a JavasScript that will forward to the mobile site or desktop site based on the browser detection that starts: <SCRIPT> var isIphone=false;var isTierIphone=false;var isTierRichCss=false;var isTierGenericMobile=false;var engineWebKit="webkit";var deviceAndroid="android";var deviceIphone="iphone";var deviceIpod="ipod";var deviceNuvifone="nuvifone";var deviceSymbian="symbian";var deviceS60="series60";var deviceS70="series70";var deviceS80="series80";var deviceS90="series90";var deviceWinMob="windows ce";var deviceWindows="windows";var deviceIeMob="iemobile";var enginePie="wm5 pie";var deviceBB="blackberry";var vndRIM="vnd.rim"; . . This browser detection does not recognise Firefox OS, and should be fixed to do so.

So, this site recently changed a little. What Firefox OS devices get now is the responsive desktop site. It's different from the version the website sends to browsers it classifies as "smartphones" - but it may well be a good enough or better experience. Richard, what do you think? Is the current experience good enough? :)

I don't think the experience is good enough, because the mobile site "Mi Banco" is what matters more for Banco de Chile users.

it does look good. The JS code still doesn't classify Fx OS as a "smartphone" but it seems the site mostly stopped relying on that sniffing :)
Ah sorry - you said "don't think" while I read "do".. Clicking "Banco en linea" to log in takes me to a desktop site. Let's reopen..
