Details

I cannot persuade a file selection dialog to appear in the browser nor the
editor.      Whether I click on "File->Open File", or "File->Save As...", or
even right clicking and clicking on "Save link as...", nothing happens, whereas
I would expect a file dialog to appear in each case.  I am using the 2001083008
build on i386 linux with the Modern theme.
