98055 - Installing Mozilla after using Netscape 6.1 causes theme weirdness

Netscape 6.1 (English), Mozilla Build ID: 2001083109
OS: Linux Slackware 7.1

Steps to reproduce:
1. rm -r ~/.mozilla if there's already a mozilla profile directory
2. Download, install and run Netscape 6.1
3. Download, install and run a Mozilla build

What happens:
1. Netscape 6.1 displays the modern theme as expected
2. Mozilla displays a terrible hybrid of the classic theme colours and the
modern toolbar icons.

What should happen:
Mozilla should either display its default theme (classic), or use Modern as that
was the last used theme in that profile. It shouldn't show a hybrid theme.

Note:
I didn't change any of the theme preferences, I just launched Netscape 6.1,
browsed around for a little while, then thought I'd download Mozilla and give it
a go.

I've tried it in reverse (deleted ~/.mozilla) and started Mozilla first and then
Netscape. I get a similar problem but in reverse. Now I get the modern colours
but the classic icons, however it is unusable as there's no URL bar in this case.

However if I goto View > Apply Theme > Modern and restart things look like they
should.

This really needs to be fixed, it could cause many annoyances from mozilla users
who want to try Netscape 6.x

I don't see why there should be any problem starting Mozilla after using NS6.
Unlike bug 97464 Mozilla does have the Modern theme and should display it.

Try using a different profile for each.

Well yes that works, but the point is, if Netscape 6 and Mozilla insist on
sharing the same profile directories using different profiles should *not be
necessary*. If Moz and NS 6 can't share profiles then NS 6 needs to be set to
use a different directory e.g. ~/.netscape6 rather than ~/.mozilla

So if you don't want to fix this bug then keep the settings for the two apps
separate. Personally I'd just prefer that the apps worked nicely sharing the
same settings.
