98111 - Surpassing attachment.

You should be able to "surpass an attachment", ie choose a bug number to mark
obsolete on the create attachment page when uploading your attachment, rather
than having to do a second step (bonus points if it happens in the same email).

Maybe you might have a "surpass" link on the main screen too to fill this in
automatically, but that might be a bit much.

A link on the main page would be a bit much.  What would be nice is something like:

This attachment supercedes:
 [ ] Attachment 38403 [details] [diff] - patch to unlock tables before doing footer
 [ ] Attachment 38573 [details] [diff] - patch which fixes all 3 probs in the file, not just 2
 [ ] Attachment 48417 [details] [diff] - Patch using PuntTryAgain() for errors

On the create attachment page.

This seemed to make so much sence that I decided to make a patch for it :)  The
only change to what I suggested below is I used radio buttons instead of checkboxes.

It might work well for a fix for this bug to be part of an overall "create
attachment" re-implementation using templates such as that proposed in bug 98602.

Just so it's obvious that the patch on this bug didn't fix it, marking
obsolete.
