Options panel > Disable cache is one too many steps for something that you could be hitting often. You'd be hitting it often because the cache is re-enabled as soon as you close the toolbox. One way to fix this workflow is to have an option to always disable the cache when the toolbox is opened. In lieu of that, maybe a button like this would be handy. It look 'checked' when the cache is disabled and reset when it's not.
