Currently the release notes link/point to the Lightning addon this way: " Lightning provides versions compatible with the latest SeaMonkey beta through its Development Channel which has an own section at the bottom of the Lightning add-on page. Other Lightning releases can be found on the Calendar Versions page." Instead we should link to https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Calendar/Calendar_Versions#Stable_Releases and tell the users to click on the link in the first column matching the SeaMonkey version they are using in the third column. The beta-channel link and the link to the individual version from developers.mozilla.org point to the same file, they are identical. As I understood it (I asked on IRC in #addons) the AMO Server only needs the addon version to detect that the user is using a development/beta version of the addon and wants to be on the development update channel. Also see https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/developers/docs/policies/maintenance#beta-addons on this "To create a beta channel, upload a file with a unique version string that contains any of the following strings: a,b,alpha, beta, pre,rc, with an optional number at the end. This text must come at the end of the version string. If you understand regex format, here's what we look for in the version number: "(a|alpha|b|beta|pre|rc)\d*$". Once a file meeting this criteria is uploaded to AMO, it will automatically be marked as a beta version. Users of add-ons with these unique version numbers will automatically be served the newest beta updates. "

Hmm, SM 2.25 is still not listed on the Calendar Versions page under Stable Releases, so I wonder whether it'll really be a good idea to direct our users to a page that will confuse them even more than the one we're sending them to right now. :-/ FTR I know that the Calendar Versions page is part of the MDN wiki so technically anyone with an account can edit it, but I'm not sure whether I (or anyone else from the SM team for that matter) am allowed to just add newer SM versions and matching Lightning versions/links there. After all, I consider making changes to that page as some kind of making it "official", no? Stefan, what's your take on this?

Thank you for the hint, i have updated the page. As you said it is wiki page and therefore everyone can update it if there is wrong or missing information.

Can we fix this for the upcoming 2.26 release? That would be cool :)
