Hi Mak and team,

This is a special project in terms of the type of tasks involved in addition to localizing the content.  Below are the itemized tasks.  After you review the scope, let me know if you would like to handle it all (Plan A) or partial (plan B).

Reference site: http://masterfirefoxos.mozilla.org/#/m05/t05 

*Plan A*:
- Localize web content and reviewed (~ 4000 words)
- Localize video content and reviewed (~ 700 words)
- Audio recording (if you know someone locally in Silicon Valley who can volunteer and sound good, we can do the recording in Mountain View or San Francisco.  Or this can be done by agency A)
- Mixing of audio/video (Mozilla internal or agency)
- Staging the web content and video to the website
- Linguistic review of both video and web on staging, provide feedback in a spreadsheet
- Feedback implementation by agency B
- Final review of implementation and provide additional comment, change request if necessary
- Final sign off and the site goes live.

*Plan B*:
- Agency A localizes web content
- Agency A localize video content
- bn-BD community reviews and finalize web content
- bn-BD community reviews and finalize video content
- Audio recording using review and approved video content(if you know someone locally in Silicon Valley who can volunteer and sound good, we can do the recording in Mountain View or San Francisco.  Or this can be done by agency A)
- Mixing of audio/video (Mozilla internal or agency)
- Staging the web content and video to the website

The partners would use the site for product training.   Usually the site needs to be up and running 2 weeks prior to the official product launch to the market.

We are initiating translation of this tomorrow through a l10n sprint. I hope we can finish the translation tomorrow, if not we shall carry on translating to finish soon after the sprint.

Thanks for the update.  So this means we are going with Plan B.  

We will need a voice talent for this project.  Do you want to screen the voice talent before we start recording (after you translate and finalize the script)?  If you are ok with any voice talent the agency chooses, we can do that as well.

Thanks Mak for making a lot of progress!  Please update again once you are 100% done. We won't be able to move forward until it is reviewed to minimize revision once the site is built.  It is a lot harder to tell someone who doesn't know the language on where to find the strings and fix them.

Hi Jane,
This doc needs to be reviewed so the right features are highlighted, and all the info is up to date.  Once you and anyone else familiar with the product have completed the review, I will have Copy team to go over the text again before we update the localization.

Hi Mak,

Please revisit this file and finalize the localization very soon. You are almost done with this one. I was confirmed that the current English reflects what 1.4 is offering.  As indicated in the original bug comment, there is a lot of work to be done after your translation.  If you have to prioritize it, this and the video script are above all other tasks.

It's very important that the file is as final as you can make it.  The revision after the site is build will be more time consuming.  Take a look of the English (not for Dolphin) for general idea where the text goes: masterfirefoxos.mozilla.com.

This doc is partially translated already based on 1.1 version. Please review and update the left column. Keep "CHANGE TRACKING" tool on so the community knows which par to the English is revised.  Do NOT touch the right column. Do not export and upload again as this may cause character corruption in bn-BD.  Work online.

I've made a few updates to the document, the bigger one being the location of the adaptive app search.  Overall the content is accurate and the message remains the same for 1.4.

Bruce, you need to tell us when you are done. Also, we need to run by Copy to make sure the message is approved.  

As for your earlier message on change tracker, it's ok to have your comment bubble on the side of the document.  As long as the left column shows what's deleted, what's added, the communities will zero in on those, update and review the content its entirety.

Can any one inform me the level of changes in the masterfirefoxos.com guide, are there new strings / sentences have been introduced or changes mean existing strings / sentences are re-wrote?

If the changes were done within existing sentences and they are only few, we are doomed. We have to go through the entire document reading each word on both side (English and Bengali) and identify where changes have occurred, so we can update translations. 

There must be an way to identify the changes easily.

Mak, the changes on the script done for masterfirefoxos.com are not major, if we are talking about what was done this week. There is not a huge difference between 1.4 and 1.3. 1.4 has a better camera and the full marketplace. J

the updates where occurred have been taken cared and translation is completed, spellings are checked and misspellings are corrected, grammatical errors are fixed, few previous translations are made more accurate. Me and Belayet worked simultaneously but separately, cross checked the integrity and terminology consistency.

Now, if the vendor pushes the translation to the site and makes it live, we shall be able to check within real context. And may suggest more fix if needed.

This is far from fixed. You need to wait for the website to be online and checked for it to be marked as FIXED (and trust me, it will take time).
