We should be able to authenticate with other methods, otherwise it's an automatic failure.

Note: I tried changing the security option for the wifi hotspot to WPA (TKIP) on one device and then tried to look up the hotspot on another. The wifi security says WPA-PSK on the second device. I think there's something odd about the wifi detection of encryption?
This is being resolved in bug 966925 - we're going to disable this feature for devices that don't support EAP-SIM and only enable it for devices that do support it.
