Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_9_2) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/35.0.1891.0 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
Flashed my Keon with the latest nightly available at http://downloads.geeksphone.com/keon/master/latest_master.html today [20th March 2014].
Image name: nightly-images-keon-master-2014-03-20.Gecko-4841e29.Gaia-0aeb073
Actual results:
After successfully flashing the device, the settings app seems to be broken, which means I cannot reach the remote debugging option, leaving me with no way to re-flash my device with an older build.
Expected results:
The Settings app should have been working properly after the flash!!

Same problem here. Also flashing Gaia on a working build, in my case from 20140313, results in broken settings.
Not sure if it matters, but logcat is full of errors like

Managed to fix the device by:-
1. Going into recovery mode [reboot device->press volume up + power buttons at the same time],
2. Connected the device to my computer and checked `adb devices` which showed a device named recovery.
3. Flashed the device with an older working build.
P.S.: This just recovers the device to being productive from being in a vegetable state. The base problem with the build still remains.

I'm having this issue on my Geeksphone Peak too,
It seems like it's been reproducing since after bug 964180 was merged..
Kazé can you please help us look at this? :)
Thanks

We’ve had a few regressions after the BubbleTea merge (= System/Settings refactoring), this might be related.
Forwarding the NI to Arthur, as he’s driven the whole Settings refactoring effort.

Interesting, not sure if there's a relation: Settings now work fine, but SIM is not found, while it worked just fine on a build with broken settings.

Note: to get a working device I have to go back to 34cdf08e963c1fde841828b69ae02fab43828573 (no SIM support).
https://github.com/mozilla-b2g/gaia/commit/34cdf08e963c1fde841828b69ae02fab43828573
With the current tip both Settings and home screen are broken (no icons displayed).

Last update: with Git commit 3977de3c everything is back to normal (homescreen, settings, sim), so I expect tomorrow's master build to be functional.
