User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140318013849
Steps to reproduce:
Open the Preferences/Settings Menu.
Actual results:
Icons are scaled/blurry.
Expected results:
Icons should be HiDPI and not scaled. Looks tacky, especially on the beautiful new Australis. This has been happening ever since Retina support for OS X was announced. This also happens on Windows 8.1 HiDPI mode.

The new in-content preferences (about:preferences) which replaces this window is close to shipping. It's already enabled by default on Nightly, and includes hidpi icons. At this point we shouldn't spend time fixing the old Prefs window, since it will soon be gone.

should we revisit this given that it's now 10 months later and this is still an issue? when i click on the options icon (which is blurry) from the toolbar (which is also blurry) it opens a preferences/options window with blurry icons
i note that if i go to the URL bar and type in "about:preferences" that i see the new UI, but it doesn't appear to be hooked up?
i'm testing on windows 8.1 on a lenovo laptop at default shipping resolution
or is there another bug that's tracking this work?

We are now ready to ship the new in-content preferences in v38. Bug 1014201 is tracking the shipping of it, as of now there is only one issue that we are thinking of changing in it. We don't plan on delaying any longer.
Re-closing the bug since in-content preferences is now on a very clear track towards shipping.
