Czech hyphenation resources are available here: http://mirrors.ctan.org/language/hyph-utf8/tex/generic/hyph-utf8/patterns/tex/hyph-cs.tex Jonathan, you are listed as a contributor to this file... do you see a reason not to include it and add Czech as a supported language for hyphenation?

The original czhyphen.tex gives its license as GPL2+; I don't think the fact that it has been restructured and re-encoded to utf-8 for newer TeX systems changes that. And AFAIK we can't pull GPL code directly into the product. If the author (listed as Pavel Ševeček <pavel at lingea.cz>, but I don't know if that's still a valid address; the original file is dated 1995) would be willing to have the patterns relicensed under a Mozilla-compatible license, we could certainly include them. Want to try contacting him?

Yup, I'll try.
If you haven't contacted him already, why not let me do it? :-) It's what I do. Gerv

I didn't want sidestep you at all, so I hope you don't feel wronged. :/ I forwarded the email I sent, I hope you agree with its contents!
Your sugggestion of LGPL might be tricky; I don't know how we ship hyphenation tables. But let's wait to see if he replies, and then we can talk further. Gerv
