Hi Umesh, Glad to hear all is set up and you are ready to go. I have some good news to speed up what we need from you now. You have the options of working on one repository or another. I would like you to focus on the highest priority for the time being. https://localize.mozilla.org/projects/yogafire/ - this is the lighter version of the Marketplace as a whole but more of a simpler version of https://localize.mozilla.org/projects/fireplace/. It has about 500 words. I see that you have made great progress in the "fireplace" repository. Either way, is it possible to get either repository localized by Monday May 5th? We can start testing next week. Don't worry about copying over the strings from one place to another. our dev will merge "yogafire" to "fireplace" if you work in the former. Once you finish working on the front end component, you can start working on other components. There is a lot left to do. Thanks so much! Peiying

Hi Peiying, Localization of https://localize.mozilla.org/projects/yogafire/ has been completed. Some issue I faced: 1) There was three string where there was no place to write the localized string. Example string is shown in the attachment 8415204 [details]. 2)I just downloaded the po file and localized them there itself and uploaded again. 3)Process I followed for them: #: /templates/search/main.html:15 msgid "<b>{n}</b> Result" msgid_plural "<b>{n}</b> Results" msgstr[0] "<b>{n}</b> परिणाम" msgstr[1] "<b>{n}</b> परिणाम" Is this the correct way of doing it? that's fine, assuming Hindi has 2 plural forms
There's a problem with the header https://github.com/mozilla/yogafire/blob/master/locale/hi_IN/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po#L13 The plural form line is messed up, so Verbatim doesn't know it should display 2 fields. CCing also Mathjazz, not sure which way we can fix it. I tried downloading and uploading the updated .po file but it doesn't work

This looks ok now: https://localize.mozilla.org/hi_IN/yogafire/translate.html#search=result&sfields=source,target I've defined the plural form for hi_IN in Verbatim: https://localize.mozilla.org/admin/languages.html Then I changed the file manually on the server, commit to GitHub and update from GitHub. Seems like uploading file doesn't update the header.

Hey Umesh, I started working on https://localize.mozilla.org/hi_IN/marketplace/LC_MESSAGES/translate.html I finished around 5 pages on that. So maybe I'll do the https://localize.mozilla.org/hi_IN/marketplace_stats/ after i get bored of marketplace coz this marketplace is 419 pages out of which i finished 5 just now. So maybe coz marketplace has only 6 pages I could work on that :) Regards, Shashank

One important note: you need to push your strings into the repository, this is not like Pootle where someone commits the strings for you. Example for commbadge: https://localize.mozilla.org/hi_IN/commbadge/ @Umesh You should see a button "Commit to VCS" in the top right. When the localization is done, you need to use to commit your files to Github.
Hi Francesco, Thank you for notifying me. Whenever I tried to commit using "Commit to VCS" I use to get an error: "Failed to commit to version control: [GIT] no changes to commit" I am still getting this error message. Is there a problem with my access to commit? Regards Umesh Agarwal
Nope, that just means the repository and Verbatim are in sync. Try changing one of the strings and you should be able to commit.
In this case it's because I've just pushed commbadge myself. Can you try with Fireplace? https://localize.mozilla.org/hi_IN/fireplace/

Hello Matjaz, Can you add https://localize.mozilla.org/projects/zippy/ in hi-IN (Hindi India). Localization of above is already completed just need to upload the file and commit. P.S. If there is a way I can add the above resource in hi-IN then please guide me with the steps. Regards Umesh Agarwal

Hi Umesh, A minor string update we need to put in this simple marketplace repo. I put it in a spreadsheet so you can update it there. I found part of the strings, you need to fill out the rest.
