User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 SeaMonkey/2.25 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140318183706 Steps to reproduce: 1. open and compose new email. 2. send. 3. open and compose new email. prior message - address, subject, body - is displayed. after 5-10 seconds it clears and the window resets. Actual results: composition window eventually resets. Expected results: window should have refreshed before it opened and displayed as a blank window ... as it did prior to 2.25 release.
looks like the issue may be related to artifacts not being cleared from the temp directory. when i manually clear them, it works just fine. after an hour or so, the issue reappears and so do the artifacts. so which is the bug and which is the visible symptom?
As a workaround go to about:config Filter for mail.compose.max_recycled_windows change this to 0
workaround is 100% successful for me. if you don't consider this a bug, close it. from all of the debris in my temp directory, there seems to be a garbage collect issue somewhere ... but at least i can use mail.

NOT reproducible with SeaMonkey German 2.39 final Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:42.0 from official download area) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0 Build 20151103191810 (Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit, and I never saw this before. Currently th effect seems to be the result of the particular configuration of reporter's PC. @Reporter/all: Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you again can reproduce the problem with a current SeaMonkey version and a current OS, or if someone finds indication that this might be a problem for a bigger number of users. Never confirmed by a second user, so I close this one for now.
