Hi Răzvan,
This is a new request. For now, it will be one bug. If there are language specific review comments, I will file individual bugs accordingly
*Project*: Firefox Cloud Service Terms of Use
*Locales (11)*: cs, de, el, es (Spain), hr, hu, it, pl, pt-BR, sr-Latn, zh-CN,
*Deadline*: 2 weeks or sooner
*File location*: https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/tree/privacy-website-update/firefox_cloud_services_ToS
Please Note:
- sr-Latn is currently labeled as sr-SP, which is incorrect, but the folder explanation says what it is supposed to be
- L10n communities will be given a chance to review this. Not all will participate, but it will be case by case.
- Do leverage any existing legal documentations you have localized and apply the same style and terminology to this request.
- For the time being, the branding guideline states that they remain in English. When in doubt, reference http://transvision.mozfr.org/. It doesn't cover all aspects, but this is the best resource we have now.
I will send an email to Magdalena about this job request.
Thank you,
Peiying

Hi Wil,
Could you merge the pull requests? There are some changes made the last 24 hours. The agency will download the file once the merge is done.
Thank you,
Peiying

oops, I guess I don't know how to read the color or fully understand the process. All I see is green color, but it is the "original" content. Thanks for confirming.

Flod and Pascal will coordinate the community review once the translations are back on github.
Communities can decide if they want to review or not before the production push.

Hi, Wil, Flod and Pascal,
I committed the changes for all 11 languages and issued the following pull requests (one for each file):
https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/pull/42
https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/pull/43
https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/pull/44
https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/pull/45
https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/pull/46
https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/pull/47
https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/pull/48
https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/pull/49
https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/pull/50
https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/pull/51
https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/pull/52
https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/pull/53
Wil, could you, please, merge the changes?
I know I should have done it all in one commit, like I did before for other requests, but I had some trouble pushing my changes to "privacy-website-update" branch instead of "master".
Thank you,
Corneliu

Hello localizers,
Please review the content on github or production. If changes need to be made, please file a separate bug and make it blocking this one bug. In addition to making changes, make sure to document some key findings so we can communicate the agency who provided localization service. This will help improving quality moving forward.
- Github file: https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/blob/master/firefox_cloud_services_ToS/it.md(select your locale to view the source).
- On Production: https://accounts.firefox.com/xx/legal/terms (replace xx with your locale code).
Thank you,
Peiying

Hi, the first link in section 4 („Privacy policy“) leads to <https://accounts-latest.dev.lcip.org/legal/privacy> instead of <https://accounts.firefox.com/legal/privacy>. This possibly applies to all pages, including the English one.

good find, Michael!
correction on the github link: - Github file: https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/blob/master/firefox_cloud_services_ToS (this is at the directory level)
+ Jared Hirsch and John Gruen to the bug.
- the links in comment #7 seem to point to US files. Do we have locale specific links, so we can implement the changes?
- At what point do people see the files: mobile device or desktop?

- Privacy link should point to https://accounts.firefox.com/xx/legal/privacy (changing locale code will do), per bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=988989.

9. Disclaimer; Limitation of Liability

Shouldn't that be "EXPRESSED"?

Hi!
It looks like brazilian portuguese doest not need any updates. I compared production English version against Portuguese production version and everything looks fine, anyway, I'll ask some other community members to help me review it, just in case.

Mika, there are quite a few comments on the legal lingo as of now. Please review and confirm whether the content needs to be updated.

Hi everyone,
There's a missing full stop in Terms of Use #4 (Privacy Policy), right after "dicha información":
cómo utilizamos dicha información Utilizamos > cómo utilizamos dicha información. Utilizamos
But for that, everything looks just fine - it's a precise and accurate translation.

Reopen - the English text still needs to be fixed - and we will update the localized version accordingly.
Mika, can you take a look of the issue in comment #8? Could you contact Jared and John to get some answers? I didn't get any answer after sending them an email.

Mika,
Two things that need your attention and/or relay the message to the appropriate people for solution:
- On this page: https://github.com/mozilla/legal-docs/blob/privacy-website-update/firefox_cloud_services_ToS/en-US.md, under #4 Privacy Policy, the first link goes to a blank page: https://accounts-latest.dev.lcip.org/legal/privacy. Please have it fixed. Also, we need the localized pages for the equivalent page.
- Legal wording. See comment #10 - grammar error.

Hello,
The current version with the word "EXPRESS" is correct. There are two types of warranties under the laws of many countries: (1) express warranties and (2) implied warranties. Generally, an express warranty is a promise or assurance from the seller to the buyer that a statement can be relied upon. It can be written or verbal. On the other hand, an implied warranty is an assurance that the buyer can presume, even if it's not specified in the transaction. Here, the language is saying that there are no express or implied promises or assurances.
Thanks very much for checking in detail and clarifying. We really appreciate all the help we get from community members to make sure the documents are correct.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Mika

Hi John,
I updated all the locales in the Cloud ToS master branch today to change the URL in Section 4 to direct users to the Cloud Privacy Notice that is on our Privacy Hub.
Can you push this to production?
Thank you,
Mika

John - I'm not sure if you or someone else would get this to production. I reassigned this to you, but please switch if it's someone else. Once this is live, I think this bug can be closed.
Thanks,
Mika
