+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #971163 +++

Bug 971163 was fixed with the 10B image from T2M. BUt once i applied my own gaia and gecko over the 10B base image, the flickering came back. This bug is to track it from Mozilla's side, since the vendor build seems fixed now.

The screencast is the same as http://youtu.be/E_Wbnceex1Y.

Note: this is a 1.3 image, but since flame is not targeting 1.3, not marking blocker. But if this is confirmed to reproduce on 1.4, then will add the blocking flag for 1.4.

Repro:
1) install Foxfone base image 10B
2) boot up, notice no flickering problems
3) flash gaia and gecko 1.3 over the 10B base image. I used the TWCI server tool from https://github.com/Mozilla-TWQA/B2G-flash-tool.

Gaia 0d54a796bdaeb96ca7fb63da2166a46b4f8859f2
Gecko 1aa0d702f491dc39ad62f75110256f057abfdc03
BuildID 20140331120333
Version 28.0
ro.build.version.incremental=

4) when device boots up, notice the ambient screen flashes and flickers, until i turn off auto-brightness.

Expected:
- no flickering when auto brightness is on.
Summary: [Flame] Ambient light sensor needs calibration, as brightness will flicker constantly → [Flame] [1.3 Gaia/Gecko only] Ambient light sensor needs calibration, as brightness will flicker constantly
I received the phone a couple of days ago and the phone was ok with 1.3
I tried the noksmd kernel offered here http://njn.valgrind.org/boot-noksm.img and after I flashed that I experienced the flickering.
I dont' have the stock working boot.img anymore
