991706 - The .extra file from minidump is empty after crashes

We have encounter some crashes on our endurance testruns on Vista machines, with ESR24 mainly. We get the .dmp files, but the .extra ones remain empty and in about:crashes the links are throttled.

I've tried to get the urls for those crashes, used windbg and analyzing the .dmp files I had. Attaching the dump content.

So far I'm able to reproduce the crash with testrun, 1 iteration, 2 entities, on mm-win-vista-32-2 and I'm now reducing the number of tests.

I was able to reduce the test to just testFlash_SWFVideoURL which managed to create the .extra file once and I submitted the report with crashreporter.exe. It's this one:

Related to bug 980938. I'll file another bug for our mozmill tests, to get this skipped on the affected branches.

This solves the mystery behind the crashes for endurance, but the .extra file issue is still there.

This is not an issue on our side but a core issue of Firefox, which is already handled in bug 981641. If we have a reproducible pattern it would be great to comment that on the other bug.
