Hmm. I'm not able to reproduce the error on Nexus 4 using same software version. I do see an issue with the downwards pointing arrow though, it auto scrolls to the content in Chrome but is unresponsive in Firefox.

Yeah, I can't reproduce this on a Nexus 7 either (except for the arrow thing). Wonder if it's something in Samsung's variant of the OS... or maybe some plugin I have installed
I have Always Zoom, Phony, Adblock Plus, and LastPass installed.

And indeed, Phony turns out to be at fault. With Phony disabled it renders normally. And I've re-enabled it now, and can no longer reproduce, so I have no clue what it did that was hosing it.

Aha, with Phony set to "Desktop Firefox" I can reproduce this.

Ahh nice (not really nice). I also get the error with Phony set to desktop, it's pretty bad.
Oddly I'm not getting the arrow issue when requesting desktop.

I'm able to reproduce both on desktop with different User Agents. The JS code has a lot of user agent sniffing for different behavior depending on desktop and mobile identification.

@Karl, can you be more explicit? I still can't repro in the "normal user" scenario (Desktop w/ Desktop UA, Mobile with Mobile UA). I'm not sure I consider it a valid bug otherwise.

@Mike,
0. Firefox for Android (Aurora version 30)
1. loading the URI https://medium.com/p/7645a4bf8a2
2. It takes a bit of time (heavy image)
3. bottom arrow not visible
4. scrolling a little bit down to show the arrow at the bottom of the screen
5. touching the arrow (nothing is happening)
On the other hand, today I do not have any white area.
---
0. Firefox Desktop - UA desktop (Aurora version 30) with small window 320x480
1. loading the URI https://medium.com/p/7645a4bf8a2
3. touching the arrow (nothing is happening)
no issue with white area.

Ahh, interesting. I had no idea that was UI. Indeed, in Chrome, tapping on that arrow scrolls down to the beginning of the article. Let me open a new issue for that, and I'll close this as INVALID.
And thanks for reporting the original issue, Dave. :)
