Steps to reproduce:

Open .eml File with thunderbird as a ordinary user.


Actual results:

if i use printpreview as a ordinary user, it opens the file save as dialog and print preview shows just a blank page.
if i open the file as sudo user or root, the file-save-as dialog doesn´t appear and print preview or print shows the email


Expected results:

print preview should show the mail

Georg, do not set priority above major. Severity of Blocker, Critical, etc have particular meanings in bugzilla, which do not include an interpretation that this issue may be particularly important "to you".  Also, priority field is reserved for developers - please do not use. Thanks for understanding

As for your problem, please attach testcase message .eml file using "Add an attachment". Also, did this work for you in a prior version of Thunderbird?

Wenn I open the Mail by Thunderbird, and try preview I get a blank page.
This is the thunderbird version 24.4.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

Bevor we had thunderbird Client version 8.0

Thanks. this email sample is plain text containing nothing special. So I suggest the problem is specific to your environment.

No problem for me, print preview of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=8405360 if fine on Ubuntu 13.10 and up-to-date thunderbird release.

Are you User with sudo rights in your system or ordinary user without sudo rights?
