Details

Currently we extract resources/gaia_commit.txt from /system/b2g/webapps/settings.gaiamobile.org/application.zip on a device to determine the changeset and date of the gaia instance. In bug 991507 we hit issues where the application.zip file is not a standard zip file. Is there another way to determine these details? We cannot use the sources.xml file provided by the releng builds as it's possible for gaia to be reset to a different revision.
