When logging into groups.yahoo.com you get temporarily diverted to login.yahoo.com, they set a cookie and you're on your way. This worked till today. Now it doesn't... There aren't any javascript error's or anything, and also no security warnings. I checked the Cookie manager and there are a few cookies being set on the "yahoo.com" domain (the whole domain, no subdomain or anything). Reproduce: always Steps, just log into Yahoo. Just now when clicking Commit I noticed that bugzilla too doesn't remember my cookies, asking me to login again. so it isn't just Yahoo.
After reboot, removing cookies and allowing yahoo to set them anew and chesking my cookies settings in preferences, still occurs. Tried yesterday's build, all is fine.
Cookies with a fully specified domain still work, seems to be something security related...
BTW the cookies I removed aren't set (and also no confirmation message) when the domain name isn't fully specified. They are set when they are.

I tried a lot of sites, and sites that supply a complete domain name eg on my own sidebar ( http://home.student.utwente.nl/j.houwing/mozilla/sidebar/tweakerssidebar.html ) the full "home.student.utwente.nl" domain is supplied. And the cookie get set (and if you have dialogs turned on the cookie dialog asks for permission. and with groups.yahoo.com only the top level and the company name are supplied ( .yahoo.com ) with the 10 sept. build it still asks to set this cookie and all is well, but with the 12 sept build no questions, no cookies. This can best be tested with the ask for every cookie turned on, as you can see if anything is changed or not.
Just to add a little more info. If you delete the mozilla.org/mozilla directory in "program files" and reinstall, the first request to Yahoo seems to work fine. After closing the browser fully and restarting, trying Yahoo again, the problem resurfaces.

The fix for bug 99286 did not make the Sep 12th builds. Please retest with a build from the 13th and see if the problem persists...
