User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/33.0.1750.154 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: 1) Configure DSDS with CDMA subscription in SIM1 , GSM/UMTS Subscription in SIM2 2) Ensure in the SIM Manager UI , that the default outgoing voice/sms/data are set to SIM1. 3) Reboot the phone gracefully. Let the phone camp on both cell networks. Check the Sim Manager UI settings. Actual results: Upon reboot, with both sims camped on their respective networks. The default outgoing voice/sms/data settings have been switched to use SIM2. Expected results: Upon reboot, the user specified default outgoing voice/sms/data settings should have stayed on SIM1.

Chris, can you put more information about your environment ? What's the device you are using and what the build information is ? Our auto-change mechanism only applies when there is one sim available while another one is not. Is there one sim unavailable when you are testing ? More information would be helpful !! Thanks :)

It seems that Chris didn't catch my message for few days :[ Add qawanted flag to make sure someone can provide more useful information for this bug. Thanks !!

I don't think so because we don't have a DSDS device with capability of CDMA+GSM scenario. Fugu is WCDMA+GSM and Tarako is GSM+GSM.
Chris is on PTO until mid of this week. Let me try to find time to provide the required information.

Thanks Hsin-Yi, that's why I got confused about what kind of device is QA testing with. Currently on my side, I only have Fugu and Tarako which are dual sim baed devices.

Fugu is WCDMA+GSM and Tarako is GSM+GSM. I guess Moz QA won't be able to help here then. Sorry.

This is a feature. Currently, we don't support CDMA+GSM for DSDS.

Untook this bug and wait for future planing.

(In reply to Ken Chang[:ken] from comment #12) > This is a feature. Currently, we don't support CDMA+GSM for DSDS. Actually we do support this, since v1.3.
It is good to know you have supported CDMA+GSM at the same time. However, it seems to be out of original release scope for our plan. To make it more clear. Here are what we have done. 1. We didn't have a device of simultaneously having CDMA and GSM/WCDMA when we started to design DSDS architecture. Therefor, we only considered how to support GSM/WCDMA for DSDS. 2. Also, there is no a device of simultaneously having CDMA and GSM/WCDMA, so we only design our telephony to support either CDMA or GSM/WCDMA, but not to support both CDMA and GSM/WCDMA at the same time for the signal SIM device. 3. Base on item 2, we only test our implementations on either a CDMA device or a GSM/WCDMA device. 4. Therefore, we can only claim that we support either CDMA or GSM/WCDMA for a signal SIM device and GSM/WCDMA for a DSDS device.

Changed the subject to reflect that the issue is not C+G specific, although happens more often in this combination. Chris from our side is investigating the Gaia code to find the root cause of the problem and would propose a fix.
Summary: [DSDS] In a CDMA+GSM Scenario, Upon reboot w/both sim's present, the default outgoing user preferences are switched to sim2 → [DSDS] In a dual SIM scenario, Upon reboot w/both sim's present, the default outgoing user preferences are switched to sim2

Anshul, If this problem happened there, these two places might be the root cause because we would change the settings automatically here : https://github.com/mozilla-b2g/gaia/blob/master/apps/system/js/sim_settings_helper.js#L24 https://github.com/mozilla-b2g/gaia/blob/master/apps/system/js/simslot_manager.js#L167 Hope this helps !
Assign to Chris according to comment 16 since Mozilla cannot reproduce nor fix this one.

Hi all, @EJ , thanks for the source references. We also converged a bit on that code as well. Moreover, We have identified a workaround in our code for this issue. Going to close the issue.
