See also bug 983976 comment #13 — geeksphone has a fork of b2g-manifest that makes some changes, including switching device/geeksphone/keon to a gp-b2g fork (and changing some branches from master to v1.1.0, even for current versions).  We should try to reduce this divergence where we can.

TBH, this is not something I'm willing to spend a whole lot of time on. Even if we get closer to what GP ships, it's not going to get us closer to what production ICS/QC devices ship with, which is what we really want.

And I don't see myself having the cycles to look into this, either.  This bug and the attachments will always be around if someone needs them.
