Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140314220517 Steps to reproduce: Scenario: - Enter an invalid URL into the address bar, in my case "typesafe." (note the dot '.' at the end), then hit Return - FF tries to resolve the domain name, potentially guessing prefix and suffix, this takes a while - *While FF tries to resolve the name*, enter a valid URL, in my case "www.typesafe.com" and press Enter (alternatively enter "typesafe" and press Ctrl-Enter) Actual results: The second, correct page loaded. But in the background FF still tried to resolve the first invalid one. After this lookup finally failed a couple of seconds later, the correct page which was already visible, was overridden with the standard error page for non-existent domains. Expected results: FF should have abandoned the first lookup request after the user had entered a new, valid URL.
WFM on Fx29 win8.1, it is canceled right.
