This works for me, Nightly (04/16). Opened (http://mozilla.com), swiped Nightly off my application listing, re-opened Nightly went to the recent tabs list and saw that tab listed.

In both states, enabled or disabled, I continue to see my tab listed correctly.
I've just uninstalled and reinstalled and it's empty. Are you going to AwesomeScreen, sliding to History and clicking the bottom right tab?
That would be the spot where they live once a session is safely restored, yes. Is there more to your steps?
(In reply to Aaron Train [:aaronmt] from comment #5) > That would be the spot where they live once a session is safely restored, > yes. Is there more to your steps? Nope, quite literally. Open Firefox, open tabs, close Firefox, reopen Firefox, go to recent tabs screen as described above and it's empty. Even on a new profile with no add-ons or sync data it's empty. I've just checked with 28 (Play Store version) too. It had a tab in the list when tabs weren't set to be restored, however once enabling restore tabs and opening new tabs before closing Firefox, the new tabs aren't added to the list. Basically as logic dictates, the list should be updated upon close of Firefox (or with each tab history (local history) change). But it would appear the list isn't being updated at all if you have tabs set to always be restored. Which is what caused the dataloss issue in bug 995741.
Summary: Recent Tabs History Tab (List) is always empty → Recent Tabs History Tab (List) is always empty if Always Restore is set to true
Let's ask Michael if he can replicate this

I can also reproduce this on Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Android 4.2.2) and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (Android 4.2.2 ) on Firefox for Android 33.0a1 (2014-06-26). Recent Tab list is empty after I open a few tabs and close Nightly with Always Restore option set.

Discussed. Don't want to track for a specific release. Do you want to mentor it?
