thanks
Are there any errors in the JS console?
This works for me using Mac/001091311 (0.9.4) on Mac OS 9.2.1. Reporter, does this
happen using a newly-created profile?
Greg... Boris is onto something.

Mozilla is dead, interms of accepting enter for the url feild, if some error
exist that kills javascripts. I suspect this is what the case is for Gareth
(reporter). In which case it is very difficult to pin down the problem. I have
started up mozilla gone to a site with javascript and somehow it fails rest
mozilla go back and the problem no longer exist.

As evident with the clause "URL worked for a bit then died on me" I would also
tend to think mozilla went haywire and over wrote a few things it shouldn;t have
done. I think the proper course of action is to get a log of the last 5 or 6
pages visited before the error occured not to find a quick fix (the same fix
that solves every mozilla problem trash profiles and prefs and restart)
Riscky, okay, that sounds fine. The URLs should still be in your History. Take a look in
there and see if you can find a way to reproduce this. Be sure to note URLs and any JS
errors you encounter.

I'm sure there are duplicates of this.
This seems to be new, with Mozilla 0.94 build 2001091311.
I use Mac OS 8.6.
Generally, the URL bar works, but stops accepting the Enter key, after I use the
url drop-
down history, or I minimize or remove the toolbar from view.
Also, the green "//" icon to the left, which lets you drag & drop the url,
disappears.
I tried to turn on a couple debugging options, to view JavaScript, but the
window goes into psychedelic colors. I was lucky to get back into normal mode.
Not sure if this is a debugging bug or feature.
Is anyone still encountering this? Have you had any success determining what page
caused the behavior to start?

I was having this bug until I poked around, and found that deleting
localstore.rdf fixed it. If anyone wants my localstore.rdf file that was
"causing" this problem, please mail spam@mainmast.org.uk
could this be a dup of bug 90337, which was recently fixed? [well, fixed checked
in today. :)]
Good catch, Sairuh. Matthew, try the latest nightly and see if bug 90337's fix works for
you.
