From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.4) Gecko/20010913 BuildID: 2001091311 after upgrading to 0.9.4 i have this error message, which never appears with previous builds so new flash doesn't work anymore and the brower makes a seg fault LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /usr/local/mozilla/plugins/ShockwaveFlash.class [/usr/local/mozilla/plugins/ShockwaveFlash.class:invalid ELF header] Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.install the flash plugin by copying ShockwaveFlash.class & libflashplayer.so into the plugins directory 2.lanch the browser and go to a page with some flash animation Actual Results: when launching mozilla LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /usr/local/mozilla/plugins/ShockwaveFlash.class [/usr/local/mozilla/plugins/ShockwaveFlash.class:invalid ELF header] after the crash: /usr/local/mozilla/run-mozilla.sh: line 72: 664 Segmentation fault $prog ${1+"$@"}
you can try linking the original location of libflashplayer.so instead to /usr/local/mozilla/plugins/ or whever you have the plugin dir. The error msg and location of the .class file hasn't crashed anything till now (it's bug 97362). A perhaps related bug is bug 86591, where some see a crash when both flash and java are installed. Is that the case on your own system?

both java and flash are install on my system, i made some modifications on the system and now it seems to be working well, but there is always the message telling that ShockwaveFlash.class have an invalid header.
Marking dup then. See coment by serge@netscape.com 2001-08-28 16:12 in bug 97362 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 97362 ***
