From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.4) Gecko/20010913
BuildID: 20010913118}8

Whenever I start 0.9.4, it comes up to the www.mozilla.org/start webpage. I
have changed this to my.yahoo.com twice now, but it still comes up as the default.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open browser.
2.Change Start Page in prefs.
3.Close browser.
4.Reopen browser.

Actual Results: www.mozilla.org/start still displays as the start page.

Expected Results: Should have displayed new start page.

prefs.js was changed by the user before the start page was altered. However,
this problem is occuring on another user's account and that user's prefs.js was
not altered.
The first time a user starts a new Milestone build this new 'first launch' page
will show up. If you change the page it should (and does for me) stick. The
'first launch' page is a new feature. In addition to the new first lauch page we
have changed the defauly home page to www.mozilla.org/start. This can be changed
by editing it in Edit|Preferences|Navigator. The change should (and does for me)
stick.

Please create a new profile with ./mozilla -profilemanager and see if the normal
behavior exists. Thanks.

(1) Did you hand-edit prefs.js while the mozilla process was still running?
(2) Did you kill the mozilla process or formally quit using File|Quit?

*** Bug 100369 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I ran mozilla -profilemanager and set up a new profile. Now I can save my start
page.

As for the prefs.js file, Mozilla was not active when I edited the file. I
exited the file using File|Quit.

Seems this has also fixed a couple of other problems I was having. 0.9.4 wasn't
remembering when I unchecked the "Alert me when sending info over a non-secure
site" message (or any of those type of alerts, for that matter). Made checking
my Yahoo mail a pain in the ass. Works fine now that I've redone the profile,
though.

the following before reopening:

a. that it's still a problem with ***recent trunk builds*** on the all
appropriate platform[s]

b. provide clear steps to reproduce (unless a good test case is already in the
bug report), making sure it pertains to the original problem (avoid morphing as
much as possible :)
