My session restore file is completely filled with 0s. I have Firefox set to restore tabs on restart. Did Firefox crash and you discovered afterwards that your session doesn't restore correctly?

0s as in nulls? I had nulls a couple times on hard crash of my OS. My file size was appropriate but the contents obviously not.

Opening the file with a text editor showed 0s not null. But I don't have the file nor can I reproduce this. Maybe it should be closed as incomplete?

We're much better off now that bug 883609 landed yesterday. We can't completely guard against corruptions due to power less etc. but 99% of the cases should hopefully be covered.
