Branch build 2001-09-14: WinMe Overview: After importing Address Books from third party application (i.e. Outlook, Outlook Express and Eudora) what should address book names should display? Currently, after importing an Address Book for: 1. Outlook, it displays "Contacts" and another entry "Contacts". They both have the same address cards. 2. Outlook Express, it displays "Outlook Express Address..." 3. Eudora, it displays "Eudora Nicknames"

Marking nsbeta1 so this appears on the radar for the next release.

Marking nsbeta1 because importing address books should not display the third party application name. Trunk build 2002-01-07-03:WinMe These are the names of the address books using today's build. 1. Import AB from Outlook - Contacts - Contacts2 2. Import AB from Outlook Express - Outlook Express Address 3. Import AB from Eudora - Eudora Nick Names Expected Results: 1. Outlook should state "Contacts" 2. Outlook Express should state "Contacts" 3. Eudora's default address book is called "Eudora Nick Names" so I'm not sure whether this should be changed since this is what the user would expect to see.
Keywords: nsbeta1
Outlook/Outlook Express use the term Contacts once you are in the AB window, but the name of the window and the menu item used to access it is called Address Book. Same with Eudora. Hence, I don't the terms "contacts" and "nick names" will help users make that connection (where the AB came from). I would suggest sticking with the name of the app from which the AB came, Outlook Address Book, Eudora AB, etc., unless there is reason we can't use those names? OR simply using "Imported Address Book", "Imported Address Book2" etc., and let users rename them.
Triage meeting. Suggested we go with "Imported Address Book". "Imported Address Book <n>" as nec.

Isn't this just a string change somewhere? It's currently futured, but how hard would it be to fix for SeaMonkey 1.0? "Imported Address Book" sounds like the most reasonable option.
