When I try to load the image at http://www.subpop.com/history/images/1.jpg in Mozilla (08-30-01 build) on Linux, either by clicking a link to it or pasting the URL into the location bar, Mozilla shows the text of the location instead of the image itself. The browser window contains the actual text "http://www.subpop.com/history/images/1.jpg". wget and other browsers are able to successfully GET and display this image. But even if there were a problem with it, Mozilla should show an error message of some type so I know what the problem is.
reassign. The image doesn't display - only it's alt text. NS4.77 shows an image.

it's the URL as reporter states, not alt-text, that displays. Resolving as new.. i can't find this one. Adding jpg to summary. The image may be malformed and displays as mostly stripes in NS4.77/4.61 on linux/irix.
