After downloading a new theme, e.g. littlemozilla from http://x.themes.org,
attempting to apply it brings up the warning: "You have selected a theme which
was designed for an earlier version of Mozilla and is incompatible with your
current Mozilla version. Please check the Mozilla Theme Park for an updated
version of the theme. You can uninstall this theme by clicking "OK" button."
Sorry - then the theme isn't updated for the current version of mozilla.
This is not a bug but the result of the fix for bug 99102.

Bugs should be filed with the particular theme author.
Resolving as invalid.

Actually, we're talking about new themes, updated for 0.9.4, which have stopped
working overnight due to the "fix".
What's the point of arguing though? 3rd party theme designers will find out
about this the hard way.
Depends on: 99102
Perhaps i misunderstood something.. which build ID are you seeing the message with?
20010920, i.e. I do have the "fix" for bug 99102 in my tree. As far as I can
see, the fix consists of changing the value of chrome:skinVersion from "1" to
"0.9.4" in various contents.rdf files. I assume 3rd party theme designers will
have to make similar changes.

<news:3BB35EBC.7010007@mozilla.org> aka
<news://news.mozilla.org/3BB35EBC.7010007@mozilla.org>. This bug is *not*
INVALID, it's an unfortunate incident that shouldn't have happened. I'll leave
it to someone else to resolve it as WONTFIX.

I know this is unpopular, but I have to mark this INVALID. We are specifically
preventing old themes from working after a period of time in which a significant
number of XUL/theme changes occur. This is so that we can notify end users that
their old themes will no longer work properly, and that they should install an
updated version.

It doesn't do any good for the user to upgrade their browser and have no
explanation as to why their themes no longer work.
