Details

Mozilla, most latest versions, currently talking about Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U;
Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.8+) Gecko/20020226
and also the recently released win32 0.9.9 talkback.

Composing a message, I'm trying to type in recipient names. It won't accept
them. Enter can't affect the window, and sending even though something appears
in the edit box pops up a "no recipients specified" alert box.

I've tried the following scenarios:

- Replying to a message: nothing appears in the box
- Typing in a name: enter has no affect, even if autocomplete has something good
for me, enter won't select it
- Using the address book window, I can choose items into the recipient part of
the window, but pushing OK does nothing (CANCEL does cancel, though)
I presume you are using KDE. This is a dup of bug 130581, see that bug for
workaround...

I'm not using KDE. I use Gnome.

This ISN'T a duplicate. In 130581 the bug is not being able to type in at all
(no cursor, even).

I may not have been clear, but I can type in recipients just fine. The composer,
however, doesn't ACCEPT my <ENTER>'s (or any other method of finalizing the text
in the edit box).

The workaround is irrelevant, as I get the cursor, and I can type, in ALL cases.

Thanks

Have you tried to disable the recycled compose window? I need to now if it's
related to it or not. Thanks for your help.
I've tried disabling "recycled compose window", but that didn't change anything.

Could this be related to anything peculiar on my system, like locale settings,
window manager, whathaveyou?
I retract my win2k statement, I can no longer reproduce this bug there.

@alex
No offence, but I fail to see the actual relevance, other than that they're similar.
