Kind of defeats the purpose of filters. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. get filtered mail 2. see system tray notification 3. click on each mailbox to see where it landed Actual Results: I find it Expected Results: I shouldn't have to look for it: the Inbox is highlighted when unfiltered mail goes there. I expect the same thing in filtered mail. My FreeBSD builds don't have this problem in 1.3a or 1.3b.

This is similar to Bug 186573, but not quite a dupe, I don't think. paul beard, are you still seeing this symptom in a current build?
Summary: I don't get visual notification of where I have new mail: filtered mail isn't visible in the mailbox window. → I don't get visual notification of where I have new mail: filtered mail isn't visible in the mailbox window.

I'm not running Windows anymore (I Switched) so I can't verify if it's still there in a newer build. Sorry.

Bug 202783 is marked as a duplicate, but it does provide additional information: the bug also shows up when filters move mail from one account to another. I think that's something that should be taken into account when solving this bug (a bold-unbold mailbox is different from an account with/without a green "new mail" arrow).

This appears to be a duplicate of bug 57660. Note that bug 57660 comment 7 (where the summary was changed) is the actual description; the original report in that bug is different.

Rotaluclac: I think the green-arrow issue you are talking about is Bug 116181. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 57660 ***

@#8, Mike Cowperthwaite: No. Bug 116181 talks about a green arrow that does not _disappear_. I'm talking about a green arrow that does not _appear_ (when filters move mail from the Inbox of one account to any mailbox on another account).

Paul Beard, I may have marked this bug as a duplicate in error -- I thought originally you were talking about updating the unread message count, and turning the folder name bold if there were no unread messages previously; but now I think you may have been talking about the 'green arrow' notification. Either way, this appears to have been fixed across the board, as of 1.4b-0509, except for the item from Bug 202783 about the green arrow also appearing on the account node where new mail has been filtered to (which I erroneously had marked as a dupe).
