It happens only with 1.5b builds, not with the 1.4 and 1.5a release. 

I know both extensions are valid but if the file has already a correct
extension, why add the default extension?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open any webpage with .html in the URL, like the above
2. "Save Page As" (or "Save Link Target As")


Actual Results:  
The suggested filename has now two extensions .html.htm.

Expected Results:  
The suggested filename should be only .html.

As with bug 164188, bug 147679 should probably be marked as a dependency -
except that I'm confused by the fact that this only started to happen recently.

Unfortunately this is not fixed.  I'm still seeing the problem with the 7/26-04
build under XP.  As per comment 2, this only started to happen recently so it's
likely something else causing the problem.

oh... I see... that's save link target as...

that should get fixed by bug 213877, marking dependency
