228393 - scroll bar on e-mail address prompts doesn't work

i go to mail and select "compose" and get a mail compose window.  i go to the 
"to" line and type "dirks".  i get a window open with a scroll bar, and the 
window shows three different e-mail addresses containing "dirks" and i see a 
scroll bar with the bar at the top.   when i go to the scroll bar and try to pull
it down to see more e-mails containing "dirks" the program closes the window with 
possible addresses and puts the first address in the "to" of the e-mail.

i can't use the offered scroll bar to view all the possible e-mail addresses.
touching the scroll bar closes the window.  this has been true since 1.5 and
i've been waiting for it to be fixed, but maybe no one else  has noticed it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.figure out what string of characters appears in more than three e-mail
addresses in your address book
2.go to e-mail and click on "compose"
3.enter the string that occurs more than three times in the "to" line
4.get a window prompting all the possible e-mail addresses.  the window shows
three possibilities and there is a scroll bar  to see more.
5.click on the scroll bar
6.the window closes without scrolling and defaults to the first possible e-mail
address it showed.

Actual Results:  
the window prompting me to select an e-mail address from a list closed and
mozilla selected one for me.

Expected Results:  
allowed me to scroll down to see the entire list of possibilities and choose one.

This is actually a dupe of bug 226804 (about the MailNews/addressing dropdown), 
but that has been duped to a generic bug about dropdowns.  The fix should be in 
builds from Dec 12 onwards.
