Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040716 Firefox/0.9.1+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040716 Firefox/0.9.1+
Run the installer, this error appears:
Error occurred during installation - US Region Pack: -208 INVALID_ARGUMENTS
Install fails, program never registers with Windows XP, will not run.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. As stated above: After removing the build shown above, ran .exe.
2. Process failed.
3. Firefox will not run; Profile Manager will create new profile, but FF will
not run using that profile.
Actual Results:
Had to use Alt-ctrl-del to kill the Firefox.exe process.
This is repeatable, both with existing and new profile.
Expected Results:
Firefox should have started; I'd guess the UA, if that is working, would be
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/2004071\76
Firefox/0.9.1+

this may be the same issue as bug 251846, but I'm not sure. sounds possible, so
reassigning to bsmedberg and marking dependent.
anyway, today's installer is busted.

When will correced this bug?!
I can't use FireFox!

Dmitry: this only affects the installer, and bug 251846 (caused by same checkin)
is ancillary and possibly fixed. Either use a zip build or a build that's only
a few days old in the meantime.

In build 2004/07/18 it was fixed!

I have build 20040718 (installer) and this bug _still exists_ in the installer
exactly described.
My UA string:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040718
Firefox/0.9.1+

The official win32 branch nightly from 7/19 works with the win32 installer
build. I guess this can be marked RESOLVED/FIXED.
WFM in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040719
Firefox/0.9.1+. Is there another step needed that wasn't mentioned? I just
used the standard install over my 0.9.1 install.

More people are confirming the installerbuild works again.
Is there a reason this bug is still NEW ?

The installer build does _not_ work.
The install for the latest Firefox windows build fails with the error US Region
Pack -208 INVALID_ARGUMENTS.
After I forceably exit the installer, and launch
Firefox, I get the XML error:
<menu label="&charsetMenu.label;" accesskey="&charsetMenu.accesskey;"

hrm. I guess I was wrong. I can no longer reproduce. I suppose it's possible
that one of the mirrors hadn't updated yet and I got yesterday's build. removing
smoketest keyword and I'll let someone else resolve this if they can confirm
that it's working.
Keywords: smoketest

WFM with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040719
Firefox/0.9.1+ from
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2004-07-19-10-0.9/FirefoxSetup.exe
, as well as a installer made from my own tree.
bsmedberg made some changes between 06:03 and 06:03 PDT today. Installer builds
made in this small timeframe were broken.

verified - definitely works
"I suppose it's possible that one of the mirrors hadn't updated yet and I got
yesterday's build."
I've seen two other reports of people being unable to find today's Firefox build
- I guess one of the primary mirrors was behind. I've just checked them all and
they all seem to have it now.
