User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050421
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050421

Displaying a print preview screen (of a browser page, email message, and
probably other types of content) produces a display size that the page setup
info shows to be "shrink to fit" (the page). But the visible scale indicator
seems to default to 30% instead of showing the correct size information. These
percents should be initialized the same.

Actively setting the page setup info puts the correct scaling info into the
scale indicator box. Actively setting the scale indicator sets the page setup
info too.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a print preview window for a webpage or any other printable content.
2. Observe that the scale indicator at the top of the screen says 30%
3. Click on the page setup button.

Actual Results:
In my settings and probably in the Mozilla page setup default, the page setup is
set to "shrink to fit" and the percent is greyed.

Expected Results:
The visible scale indicator on the print preview screen should be initialized to
display the same scale as the page setup info.

This might be a core printing bug, but core printing, core editing, etc aren't
listed in the selectable components.
This is a regression?
This regressed between 2005-04-03-05 and 2005-04-04-06

With Mozilla 1.8b2/20050422 I see this bug and 2 other Print Preview bugs:
animated gifs animate again in Print Preview (bug 2586) and I only can select
Page: 1 in the toolbar, even if there are more pages. I don't see these bugs in
Mozilla 1.8b1 so maybe those regressions are related to this bug?
Please file new bugs for the two bugs you mentioned, bugs will be marked as dep
on this one if they're really caused by the same checkin.
This bug here was caused by Bug 288117 (tested it by applying the patch to a
source tree without the fix and comparing before and after builds).

I filed bug 291764 and bug 291775 for those problems.
Ok, also note Bug 291485, this patch caused the page counter in the print
preview to fail. So i guess this is a general Print Preview UI init bug?
Blocks: 291775
Frank, did you mean some other bug there?
Yes :), make that Bug 291775
I've attached a fix in bug 291775. The Linux print preview toolbar doesn't show
the scale factor so I can't test this particular bug. However the fix in 291775
should fix this too.
Yes fixed it.
