In the old Netscapes, there are many options in the "manual proxy 
configuration" menu (http, security, ftp, socks, gopher, WAIS).  However, there 
are only http and ftp options in Netscape 6.  I sometimes use a socks proxy in 
order to surf the web, but I am unable to do that because there is no socks 
field to fill.

Expected Results:  Please have all the necessary options in the "manual proxy 
configuration" menu!

This bug depends on SOCKS support actually being implemented in Mozilla (bug
#16103), gopher and wais are also not supported in Mozilla (any volunteers?).

Now the PSM security code is in place expect to see an entry for a security
proxy to be appearing soon.

I've searched the database for bugs on WAIS. If this is not implemented, then we
need to delete the dialog

I'm in space. I looked at Windows RTM again today, and WAIS and Gopher are not 
visible in manual config. No need to delete something that isn't there. I'm sure 
I saw it somewhere, but I can't find it now.

The correct list of fields for mozilla should be:

http
ftp
ssl
socks
gopher
No WAIS, b/c bug 61540 is unimplemented.

This dialog might continue to change over time, so I'll probably target for the
next milestone and verify then.

VERIFIED:
I'm looking at mozilla 0.8.1, and it has the correct list of manual config
preferences.

Gopher proxy may not work in 0.8.1, implementation of this is covered in Bug 72312
.

I don't think anyone cares exactly which patch fixed this dialog...
