RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 275804

People

(Reporter: thomas, Unassigned)

Details

User-Agent: Opera/9.64 (Windows NT 5.1; U; de) Presto/2.1.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20090223 Thunderbird/3.0b2

If the user option "Compose messages in HTML format" (under Composition & Addressing) is unchecked at the FIRST account, I cannot write HTML messages in ANY account.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set "Compose messages in HTML format" to false for the first account, and true for the second.
2. Write a new message. The compose window appears, without HTML formatting controls (this is OK since the From-field is set to the first account).
3. Switch the From-field to the second account => no HTML controls appearing. This is the bug.

Looks like "Compose messages in HTML format" isn't really a per-account setting, but rather an overall-setting.
Duplicate of bug 366577, which was duped against bug 342326, which in turn resolved as dupe of bug 275804.

Thanks! I did a search for "HTML" in the bug list. So maybe you could include this keyword in bug 275804 - to prevent even more duplicates ;-)
