Currently a bug’s initial comment posted by the reporter is labelled as **Description**, but there are no other differences from other comments. Internally it continues to be a comment, but we have to make changes to the UI and API: * Make it like a separate field (or what we call a module), remove the reporter’s name/avatar on the modal bug UI (this bug) * Allow anyone with the `editbugs` privilege to edit the description on the UI (bug coming) * Allow to search only in the description with the search UI and API (Bug 1531757) * Expose the description as the `description` field in the API (also Bug 1531757) * Allow anyone with the `editbugs` privacy to edit the description with the API (bug coming)
